SUBJECT: FEMA NIMS COURSES 100, 700 & 800 COMPLIANCE
The department needs to become compliant with the requirements set forth by FEMA in regards to training for IS 100, 700 & 800 courses. In order to achieve full compliance everyone needs to complete theses course. I have provided all of the reference materials needed in order to achieve this requirement.
To complete a course you must go to the following website: http://www.training.fema.gov/EMIWeb/IS/crslist.asp
At this web site you will find the list of all Independent Study Courses offered by FEMA. There can be some confusion about which course to take, so here is a clarification and the proper titles of the courses needed:

Simply click on the title and start your review of the information. When you’re ready to take the test, simply click on the “TAKE FINAL EXAM”. You must provide a valid reliable e-mail address to FEMA in order to receive your certificate. When you complete the final exam, you must click on the “SEND” button. The test is graded quickly and if you passed the certificate will be sent to your specified e-mail address within 15 minutes. Please, print this certificate and provide a copy to me for your files.
In order for our department to eligible for Federal grants and funding we must be in compliance with the requirements set forth by FEMA regarding this training. I expect full compliance with this request in a short amount of time. I am tracking individual completion of these courses and will provide Chief Stitzel with re-occurring updates as needed about our progress. I am expecting full compliance by the end of July.
