Meeting with Architect To finalize floor plan and site design of new fire station near the corner of Lake Rd. and Gerlaugh Rd. Monday, June 9 5:30 p.m. Station 51 on Gerlaugh Rd. |
- The County Engineer's Office will be working on Gerlaugh Rd.,
beginning this year and continuing into next summer. A turn
lane will be added at 235, a traffic light will be installed at
Lower Valley Pike, and the entire road will be re-paved. There
will be lengthy road closures; watch here for more
information. There have been some delays and as of now the
engineer's office does not know when the project will begin.
- The township road maintenance schedule for this summer
will involve skin coating, wedging, and other maintenance
procedures on portions of a number of roads. Lake Rd. will be
surfaced with a chip and seal coat from Schiller Rd. to Rt. 40.
- Improvements at Crystal Lakes Park will be done this fall,
courtesy of a federal Community Development Block Grant.
The parking area will be graded and paved, a walkway and
picnic shelter will be put in, and additional park equipment will
be installed.
- Construction of a new fire station and township offices should
begin this year, on Lake Rd. just north of Gerlaugh Rd.
- Phase II of the Medway Streetlighting Project has been
postponed until next summer; it is being funded courtesy of a
federal Traffic Enhancement grant. The lights will extend to
the end of the curbing in both directions when done.
